Position Description:
ITT Communications Systems (CS)
Candidate will support the Navy Strike Group assigned during various phases of readiness and deployment. Expected duties for the position will include remediation of system outages and coordination with the customer and various stakeholders. As a member of the team, you will provide technical/operational guidance and development of best practices while monitoring performance as it relates to key C4I systems. The candidate will interface with members of afloat Strike Group staffs, squadrons and ship personnel. The selected candidate will be part of a team supporting Team SPAWAR as an Afloat Fleet Systems Engineer. Approximately 25% travel required.

Experience Requirements:
Equivalent Education Level Required: B.S. Degree in Computer Technology and or 8 combination of years relevant experience in Navy or Marine Corps C4I
Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications desired. Information Assurance (IA) certifications / Completed COMPTIA Security Plus or higher (GIAC/SANS) Network Security Certification.
Experience Required: Familiar with configuring/troubleshooting Cisco Routers/Switches or Alcatel Switches, TCP/IP, and security protocols. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Two or more of the following required: Experience in Active Directory, Group Policies, Exchange 2000/2003, Alcatel Switches, CISCO routers and switches. Command and Control display systems. Information Assurance - HBSS/SCCVI/SCCRI or McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and eEYE Retina Scanning tools. Implementation of DISA STIGS with remediation.
Prior supervisory experience in the IT field preferred.
Knowledge Required: Advance knowledge of computer technology and data processing systems. Working knowledge of Afloat Navy C41 networks.
Familiar with configuring/troubleshooting Servers, Cisco Routers/Switches or Alcatel Switches, TCP/IP and security protocols.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with analysis of current and future planned Navy Afloat Information Systems, as assigned in order to provide feedback to customer.
Successful candidate will have completed a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
