Description
Description Summary Responsible for the management of the Commercial banking team; Supervises bankers activities to make sure they are achieving overall goals and providing products and services to existing and potential Commercial Banking clients by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sets goals for loan, deposit, wealth management and other products and services
Ensures bankers are following lending policy and procedures
Makes sure their staff is adequately trained and informed of changes in the industry both internal and external
Monitors the portfolios of assigned lenders and may handle their own individual portfolio
Secondary Duties
Other duties that may be required by the Senior Manager - Commercial Loan Group
Supervisory Duties
Manages several subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of six to eight employees in the Business Banking department; Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises eight to ten non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Fifth year college or university program certificate; four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations; Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume; Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
