Kmart Corporation, a member of the Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: SHLD) family of companies, has Logistical Services provided by the Kmart Distribution Center Network at more than 1,300 Kmart stores with over 1,000 in-store pharmacies across 49 states, Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Kmart is a mass merchandising retailer that offers customers quality products through a portfolio of exclusive brands and labels such as Craftsman, Kenmore, DieHard, Jaclyn Smith, Joe Boxer, Route 66 and Country Living. They also provide a wide selection of merchandise through kmart.com. Facilitates the accurate flow of computer generated data/information to and from the local distribution center departments and the SHC Support Center using the applicable mainframe, network and personal computer hardware and software. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Enters and retrieves operational data using the distribution center AS/400, KICS, DAS, UPS, KSM, Carousel MARS, Scanner, Payroll, and Time Clock computer/printer systems; ensures applicable operational data available to management team in an accurate and timely manner./li Monitors data processing hardware and software daily to ensure optimum system performance; coordinates system maintenance and modifications as necessary./li Generates and sorts daily store orders and accompanying order-filling labels, shipping documents and status reports./li Maintains data integrity of all data processing files and information; backs up all systems as appropriate./li Produces daily, weekly and monthly production reports, and other ad hoc reports and distributes to all applicable managers./li Assists Systems Administration Manager in performing other department functions as needed. /li /ul KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Sound reading, writing, arithmetic and communication (oral and written) skills enabling effective personal interactions at all levels within the distribution center./li Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities./li Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects in an effective and efficient manner./li Able to lift and move data supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. /li /ul Education/Training High school diploma or equivalent /ul Experience Twelve months experience operating AS/400 and personal computer hardware and software preferred. /li /ulA comprehensive and competitive benefit program is designed to meet the needs of our associates and their families.
