Position Description:
General:
Owner of assigned production released products. Responsible for manufacturing support of products for the company. Responsible for problem identification and corrective action implementation as assigned. Responsible for the transition of new designs to production after CDR completion, but also a team member during development. Accountable for yield and cost effectiveness of assigned products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
' Support prototype to production product efforts
' Transition to production after critical design review including release of product documentation.
' Coordinate Bill of Material development for production release collaborating with design engineer.
' Coordinate activities associated with engineering documentation ' Engineering drawings, part lists, specification, engineering change to correct.
' Defines in-process and final test parameters and limits if not customer defined
' Production yields (analyze, control, and set standard) for products assigned
' Triage of production problems, solves those within skill set
' Second source qualification
' Design Engineering Rep for MRB
' Other duties as requested
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements
' At least a Bachelor's degree referably in Physical Science or Chemistry
' At least 3 years working experience as a engineer in scientific instrumentation manufacture.
' Hands on experience in scientific instrumentation, especially Mass Spectrometer
' Electrical experience especially in high voltage and mechanical assembly background.
' Experience in high vacuum system including knowledge of compatible materials for high vacuum use
Demonstrated Skills
' Demonstrated ability to utilize problem-solving skills to solve variety of technical challenges
' Demonstrated strong documentation and organization skills
' Good oral and written communications ability
' Must be a motivated self-starter who works well with people.
' Some level of experience in 3D CAD software such as PRO-E/SolidWorks
