Description
The employee will be doing repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of general purpose vehicles. Rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
1. Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required.
2. Replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts.
3. Grinding and adjusting valves.
4. Rebuilding carburetors.
5. Overhauling transmissions.
6. Repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
Experience Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Trades/vocational school preferred.
Experience: One year experience.
