Description

The incumbent will indirectly manage R&D Project Team and must work in Roanoke at least 75% of the time. Will manage U.S. Army CRAD projects, Advanced Weapon Site Technology Demonstrator (AWST) and Urban Enhanced Night Vision Goggle (UENVG) to ensure project tasks are completed on time, within budget, and per customer requirements. Will execute project to schedule and budget. Will schedule/manage resources to meet the project goals Development full time equivalent resources. Will provide leadership and direction to the project team composed of various and non-engineering support organizations. Will coordinate engineering disciplines with the engineering team to control cost, schedule, and performance expectations. Will prevent or resolve conflict between ITT departments and/or the customer. This will involve organizing and maintaining open communication at all levels. Will write reports, present material, and organize team presentations of project status, risk management, and future direction for internal management and customers. Will assist the VP R&D Engineering in administration of the assigned project.

Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering and a technical background is required. Night Vision and military experience are desirable but not required. Project Management certification, courses, or degree desired.

The incumbent must have good organizational skills and be detailed and methodical in approaching a problem or task. Must have excellent oral/written communication skills. Must have experience in managing complex tasks and juggling resources to achieve goals. Must have experience in managing a project and/or personnel in a matrix environment. Must have experience in complex engineering / technical product development projects. Must have experience in scheduling limited resources to meet goals with fixed due dates. Must have experience using MS Office, MS Project, and web based meeting products. Must have experience with contract management. Must have technical product development experience. Must have training in management and experience in managing people, both direct reports and matrix. Must have good negotiating skills.
