Inglis works with people with physical disabilities to create and provide practical solutions so they may live life to the fullest. Inglis is seeking a Vice President, Development & External Affairs.
Position Profile:
The Vice President, Development & External Affairs serves as Inglis’ primary relationship builder with donors, foundations, governmental organizations and the disability community. He or she is responsible for creating and leading our development strategy and generating funding to enhance Inglis’ mission and accelerate our growth. He/she serves as our Government Affairs lead, partnering with the CEO in setting advocacy priorities, building Inglis’ relationships with legislators and government officials and enhancing Inglis’ position as a key and valuable resource for the state, region and nation. Finally, he or she is responsible for building the Inglis brand and working to ensure that our work is widely recognized and respected in the region and across the disability community nationally. All essential job responsibilities will be executed in accordance with Inglis’ Administrative policies and compliance/ethics guidelines.
Minimum Screening Criteria:
· Undergraduate degree/Masters degree preferred with a minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of successful progressive experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in development, government affairs and marketing.
· Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment; capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
· Possess broad functional experience in areas of development and marketing, business and market development, market research, planning, promotions and advertising.
· Experience with the state and federal network needed to achieve goals, and to pass or have an impact on legislation required.
· Knowledge of the disability community and the state and federal regulations that affect those with disabilities preferred.
