This position serves as an assistant to Neurodevelopmental Specialist, conducting psychological testing services as dictated by research study protocols. Exceeds patient and family expectations by achieving and maintaining leadership in quality service through communication and teamwork. Maintains an environment that reflects pride and ownership and shows a willingness to care for the surroundings of the Hospital and other research settings involved in the research studies. Exhibits an informed and professional attitude by being prompt, efficient, and competent.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

*
Administers and scores standardized intelligence tests such as the WASI, WISC-IV, WPPSI-III, WAIS-IV and standardized language tests such as the CELF-IV.

*
Conducts interviews with children, adolescents and caregivers, using instruments such as the BASC-II Parent Report and BASC-II Self Report of Personality, the BRIEF, the ABAS-II, the PCRI and others.

*
Conducts computer assisted evaluations with individual children and adolescents.

*
Verifies accuracy of test results; transcribes results onto case report forms for data entry.

*
Ensures availability of tests and test protocols, assists in ordering test materials.

*
Maintains research subject test files and research test equipment.

*
Participates in clinical research meetings and post-clinic conferences with SID team.

FTE status: FT-80

Requirements

*
MA or MS degree in Psychology or related field is required; interest or past experience in working with children and adolescents is required.

*
Prior psychological testing experience with children and adults is required; expertise in infant and toddler assessment is preferred but not required.

*
Working familiarity with PC hardware and basic software.

*
Excellent attention to detail and well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.

*
Work reflects dedication, knowledge, accuracy and consideration for the privacy of all research participants and their families. All research participants are greeted in a friendly and courteous manner and situations are handled with respect, compassion, and above all, sensitivity.

*
Prior experience with longitudinal research preferred.

*
Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.
