Job Description:
Our client a major financial institution in Walnut Creek, CA is searching for a highly-motivated Business Management Associate to work with a dynamic team of RMAs to support their Merchant client portfolio and RM team objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to continue a portfolio management career.
You will be responsible for:
ü Maintaining a high level customer service, gathering required data and providing assessments on the performance of existing accounts.
ü Quickly respond to customer operational needs and requests, ensuring resolution of problems.
ü Provides a high level of operational support to an assigned team of Merchant Relationship Managers.
ü Consolidates, analyzes and interprets customer activity in support of customer retention.
ü Provides a high level of analytical support duties, providing detailed level reports for internal and external customer reporting.
This role will help shape the future of our department by contributing recommendations to improve processes and procedures
Daily duties will include:
ü A large portion of the day on the phone supporting relationship managers
ü Updates merchant account profiles, i.e. DDA, DBA, Phone, Chargeback Address, etc.
ü Orders equipment
ü Manage merchant refunds or debits due to incorrect billing
ü Custom reports using excel. Requires the process of manually pulling the data from various systems, then manipulating it in a format requested by the merchant.
ü Assists with merchant visit Power Point presentations
ü Handle merchant questions/issues, i.e., broken terminal, online report questions, missing funds, error when attempting to process credit cards
ü Handle the setup of new locations for existing businesses.
ü Set up merchant training for online tools
ü Research for various issues & questions.
. Minimum Qualifications:
ü 3 years of B2B customer service experience
ü 2 years of Financial services experience
ü Strong attention to detail - ability to double check work and quickly resolve errors when identified.
ü Strong communication skills -- ability to manage relationships with internal and external customers.
ü Intermediate MS Excel & Power Point skills - formula, charts, advanced formatting.
ü Operates independently, requiring minimal guidance and supervision.
ü Manage time effectively.
ü Must be able to provide a high level of analytical support duties, providing detailed level reports for internal and external customer reporting.
Preferred Skills:
ü Relationship management experience in financial services
ü Merchant services experience
ü Bachelors degree
