Period.® Lands End is a proud member of the Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: SHLD) family of companies.As an Allocation Analyst, you will be responsible to ensure timely and accurate execution of Lands End products in Sears stores. You will work closely with an Allocation Planner to learn all aspects of the Allocation function. As the Allocation Analyst you will plan and execute the product receipt flow and the product size purchases. You will be responsible to execute initial allocations as directed through Preseason Planning. As the Allocation Planner you will proactively and thoughtfully push inventory to drive profitable sales. You will replenish inventory based on in-season selling and established buying patterns. The Allocation Analyst will manage inventory levels by location.As and Allocation Analyst you will plan product size purchases, create the initial allocation plans and develop replenishment strategies to maximize customer service and profit potential. You will work with cross-functional teams on identifying replenishment styles, develop inventory requirements by store. Through analysis, you will develop knowledge of geographic store performance and regional volume to better allocate. Other responsibilities include responding to store trends and store size selling. Although the Associate Planning Manager will still look to the Allocation Planner for guidance they should be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Successful candidates should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities: Retail experience. A basic understanding of planning and forecasting processes. Ability to understand financial metrics. Strong analytical skills. Strong written, verbal, and oral communication skills. Sense of urgency. Proficiency in using PC based packages. Able to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong negotiation skills.
