Description

Responsibilities:

* Champions and documents competitive intelligence and benchmarks processes.
* with respect to the industry (Shell and other operators)
* with respect to the relevant offset wells
* with respect to the well manufacturing process
* with respect to the time and cost drivers without compromising Goal Zero

* Defines specific deliverables with the Well Engineering Team Lead for each well or area and manages delivery of expected knowledge to the Wells Drilling Team.
* Perform Drilling Efficiency Optimization for planned wells.
* Optimum BHA (Bottom Hole Assembly) designs with respect to vibration mitigation, bit selection, Optimum Hydraulics.
* Gathers and delivers the Risk Mitigation Report to Well Engineering Team Lead.
* Utilizes Best Practices that relate to the well.
* RCFA/TAT (Root Cause Failure Analysis/Trouble Action Team) reports for the individual challenges in the well.
* Assure that the agreed upon deliverables with the Well Engineering Team Lead or Superintendent, are on time and to the designated person.
* Champions and documents After Action Reviews and submits for Performance Improvement Teams Regional use.
* Communicates new concepts and ideas that improve performance and champions these ideas into the well execution.

Requirements:

* Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university. Master's preferred.
* Minimum 5+ years experience in the oil and gas industry as a drilling engineer, engineering consultant or product design/support engineer.

Preferred skills

* APEGGA Certification desired.
* Failure Analysis experience.
* Exceptional technical writing and communication skills.
* Metallurgical testing experience and evaluation an aset.
