Position Summary:

Responsible for clinical and administrative leadership at Children’s Memorial Suburban Outpatient Centers. Plans and coordinates all of the outreach efforts for Satellite Services. Coordinates, integrates and develops programs and communication within Satellites Services as well as across entire organization. Represents Children’s Memorial in operations with partner hospitals. Facilitates, promotes and models a leadership philosophy and style consistent with the CMMC leadership statement. Understands and integrates into the delivery of patient care the needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and adult patients in regards to their growth and development process.

Essential Job Functions:

*
Provides administrative and clinical leadership with 24-hour accountability to the of all satellite sites, e.g., Westchester, New Lenox, NW Community, Glenbrook, etc.

*
Drives the strategic and operational planning process: possesses a vision for Satellite Services and inspires excellence in all of its components.

*
Accountable for the achievement of the strategic outcomes for areas of responsibility, including development of new centers.

*
Develops and implements systems to ensure information flow: plans for systems that ensure standardization throughout Ambulatory Services(i.e., education, staffing, quality initiatives, protocols, information systems).

*
Identifies opportunities for and develops interdependent teams and plans for Hospital initiatives.

*
Accountable for financial management within areas of responsibility: accountable for capital and operating budgets in collaboration with the physicians and leadership team in the planning and development of the budget.

*
Plans and implements system changes that enhance the organizational performance.

*
Determines philosophical and policy direction related to human resources: responsible for the selection and development of the directors and leaders/staff .Creates a positive risk taking and collaborative work environment.

*
Provides administrative link to the medical staff: facilitates collaborative partnerships with physicians to ensure that patient needs are met.

*
Responsible for nursing practice standards throughout the satellite system and reports to the Chief Nurse Executive for issues related to nursing practice.

*
Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.

FTE status: FT-80

Requirements

* Master’s degree, with a concentration in nursing administration, health care administration, business, or other health care profession. Nursing license required.
*
Knowledge of pediatric and/or Ambulatory services acquired through clinical experience. Experienced in working in partnership with health care professionals in leadership roles. Knowledge of pediatric and/or Ambulatory Services issues and the professions which provide care. Demonstrated ability to ensure the provision of quality patient care in a dynamic and fiscally challenging environment.

Demonstrates the ability to provide leadership to others in a collaborative and facilitative style within an Ambulatory Services setting as well as a complex organizational setting.
