Description

Provide engineering related design, analysis, and studies for domestic or international projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and supervises the engineering work of a large project staff of one or more disciplines. Included are staff selections, work assignments, monitoring of progress and review of personnel.
Conducts special studies or analysis of major importance requiring an extensive staff of specialists or highly experienced engineers
Administers non-engineering activities associated with project staff.
Functions as the prime client contact coordinating the resolution of problems, reviewing progress, recommending alternatives and advising on project objectives
Provides consulting expertise within an area of specialization, acquired through active experience, training, and research.
Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities which will add value. Champions continuous improvement efforts. Assesses and supports the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements. Proactively supports, encourages and facilitates staff to engage in continuous improvement activities.
Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor''s degree in engineering from either an ABET accredited program in the USA or an engineering program, offered by a foreign institution, accepted as valid in the home country or the country in which the individual is practicing. The incumbent must have the PE license in the USA or foreign registration, if available, which is accepted as valid in the home country or the country in which the individual is practicing, or active pursuit of registration acceptable in the country of practice.

Minimum of 16 years of experience performing engineering related duties.
Preferred Job Qualifications Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical Specialization or engineering geology.
Graduate school coursework in earth dams, slop stability analysis, seepage, and soil dynamics.
Experience with geotechnical engineering software, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, SIGMA/W, and QUAKE/W, FLAC/UDEC and STAAD or other structural frame analysis software.
Instrumentation installation and data interpretation experience.
