Description
Provide engineering related design, analysis, and studies for domestic or international projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Develop, plan, coordinate and manage all aspects of solar photovoltaic projects. Must have the ability to see projects from concept through completion. The position will involve managing a wide variety of diverse assignments including: resource assessment, due diligence, siting, feasibility studies, new technology evaluation, and project proposal evaluation. The position will entail interaction with clients including: utilities, energy project developers, financial institutions, energy end-users, investors, government agencies, and other organizations. Essential responsibilities will include: lead and contribute to authorship of reports, studies, and proposals. Develop technical and economic analyses of projects and technologies using models built in Microsoft Excel. Prepare designs for assigned systems to include analysis, calculations, research, selection, and layout. Coordinate work with others in multi-disciplinary teams. Identify and understand client issues, and work collaboratively to develop and communicate creative solutions. Assess regulatory, technical, and market issues to evaluate competitive dynamics of various resource options.
Minimum Qualifications Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university. Specific knowledge of solar energy technologies is required.
Minimum of 11 years of experience performing engineering related duties in the solar industry. PE desired.
Masters degree or MBA would be beneficial.
