Description
Provide engineering related design, analysis, and studies for domestic or international projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Engineering design, analysis, and studies for electric utility related high voltage transmission line projects. Experience should include at least three years as a design or lead engineer performing engineering, detailed physical design and technical direction and oversight of more entry/junior level engineers and technicians for transmission line projects through 500kV. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Transmission Line specifications, supporting permitting activities, and the ability to support the field construction professionals by answering design and engineering questions during construction periods. The individual hired will be responsible for interfacing with clients on design, operations and construction issues. Experience using PLS-CADD and AutoCAD is a strong advantage.
Minimum Qualifications Must hold a BS Engineering Degree from an accredited U.S. University or College along with three years experience in the power delivery industry (including Overhead Transmission Line experience). Must have a good proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (including Word, Excel, and Access); Professional Registration or License (PE) Preferred. Special courses or training a plus such as AutoCAD, Microstation PLS CADD (PLS-CADD strongly preferred). In addition, must have a high regard for safety and quality along with the ability to work effectively on project teams and communicate well with clients and vendors.
