Description
Will be responsible for providing financial planning support to relationship managers by developing financial plans for affluent, wealthy or high net worth clients. May conduct client interviews, data collection, analysis and compilation, plan presentations and prepare client seminars. Completes financial plans in accordance with monthly production and quality expectations. Supports various components of the line of business sales culture. These components normally include: attending sales meetings and where appropriate, accompany team members and management on client meetings. Demonstrates ability to work as a contributing team member in a matrix environment.
* Responsible for providing financial planning support to relationship managers by developing financial plans for affluent, wealthy or high net worth clients
* Completes financial plans in accordance with monthly production and quality expectations
* Adheres to all planning procedures and protocols.
* Conducts client interviews and presentations as required, data collection, analysis and directs the appropriate planning solutions and document creation
* Delivers the SunTrust planning experience in partnership with the relationship manager and team
* Demonstrates ability to work as a contributing team member in a matrix environment
* Conducts client seminars and other educational programs in the business and professional community
* Supports various components of the line of business revenue opportunities. These components normally include: attending sales meetings and where appropriate, accompany team members and management on client/COI meetings
* Spends majority of time supporting the relationship managers in the field to drive implementation of revenue producing solutions
* Monitors and tracks client revenues related to financial planning work to ensure sales opportunities are maximized.
* May serve as a technical expert for a specific specialty or type of service.
* Provides ongoing training and support to team members, internal and external partners across the full spectrum of bank offerings
* Must have in depth knowledge of at least one basic financial planning software tool such as: NaviPlan, Lumen, WealthTec Suite, EMoney or comparable platform
* Reports to the Director of Financial Planning.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
Licenses 7,63 and /or 64- Must obtain within 90 days if does not have them currently
5 years experience preparing and presenting financial plans to clients
Strong knowledge of specialized financial planning disciplines including taxation, cash flow analysis, planning for retirement, asset allocation and basics of estate planning and wealth transfer
Strong oral, written and presentation skills
Ability to tailor communicating complex analytical information to fit the client''s communication style
Very strong time management and organizational skills a must
Flexible and able to adapt to change as well as determine and focus on top priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Bachelors degree
CFP, ChFC or PFS required
Advanced planning credentials would be considered.
Preferred skills include: Morningstar, Word, Excel and Power Point
