Description
Responsible for outage scheduling activities at the site. Review outage work requests to assign resource levels, work type, work duration, work sequence, logic ties, performance urgency, work validity, and system windows to ensure activities are performed in a manner that preserves safe, reliable and predictable plant and equipment operation. Perform mandated maintenance risk reviews. Evaluate schedule duration threats and opportunities and develop contingency scenarios. Develops detailed schedule fragments for high priority and risk significant work activities. Develops contingency plans for circumstances that challenge scheduled activities. Responsible for advance preparation of forced or emergent outage schedules. Integrate fleet maintenance plans, site outages, preventive and corrective maintenance and major administrative activities into the schedule to enable strategic planning including budgets and ALARA control. Conduct and/or participate in meetings to support scheduling activities. May provide technical direction to schedulers assigned within this group. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Required:
* Minimum of ten years of experience in operations, maintenance or engineering including a minimum of five years of nuclear plant experience .
* Broad understanding of generating station maintenance activities.
* Demonstrated strong communication and leadership skills.
* Experience with maintenance scheduling tools/databases.
* Demonstrated strong project management skills.
Preferred:
* Military background in either maintenance or nuclear operations.
* Bachelors degree in Engineering or physical science or previous senior reactor operator license experience and ten years of nuclear experience.
* Supervisory experience preferred.
