DuPont''s Valley View, Ohio site, is in need of a Quality Technician The site is located near Interstate 77, Interstate 480, and the Ohio Turnpike, south of Cleveland.  The facility manufactures compression molded, close tolerance-machined composite parts for aerospace and specialty industrial applications.  Our customers include the major commercial and military aircraft engine manufacturers around the world.

We are a High Performance Work Systems site, which requires flexibility from all operators.  Decision making input is sought from every associate.  Working in a team environment is essential.

We have a need for a Supplier Development Coordinator who provide technical support to Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations, with respect to improving the quality of components, assemblies, and sub-contracted services provided by DuPont Valley View suppliers.  Provide advanced quality planning, establish goals and targets for improvement, and coordinate all Quality functions as they relate to ensuring a steady flow of quality products and services to our Internal and External customers. Responsible for supporting Supply Chain in flow-down of DuPont, customer, and regulatory quality requirements and specifications to suppliers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Drive and actively support suppliers in the development and deployment of APQP to include (but not limited to) product and process quality plans and standard work that assure conformance to all DuPont, customer, and regulatory requirements.  Actively seek opportunities for sustainable process improvement (poka-yoke, control plans, etc).   Support producability evaluations and improvement efforts for new parts.
* Audit suppliers and their processes to assure compliance to Quality practices and work instructions.
* Datamine and analyze non-conformance data, CAPA responses, escapes data and other sources of data, to identify CI opportunities and drive CI as appropriate. Actively participate in Supply Chain update meetings, to communicate trend analysis and recommendations for corrective / preventive action and quality improvement.
* Support the review of manufacturing planning documentation.
* Work with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations, to facilitate corrective and preventive action relative to supplier quality problems and source inspection issues.
* Issue Quality Alerts and stop tags / hold tags where conditions warrant.  Initiate and follow up on stock purges and line checks.
* Work with suppliers to update inspection and test techniques to improve MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis), to eliminate sources of gauge error / accuracy and eliminate inconsistencies through development of standards of acceptability
* Support the on-boarding of new suppliers. Support Engineering and the Contract Manufacturing Administrator in the determination of supplier eligibility for the Approved Supplier List.
* Must be able to travel to suppliers to provide on-site support as needed (approximately 10-20% travel)

Qualifications

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

* Requires a BS in Engineering or other technical discipline (or equivalent work experience will be considered), a minimum of three years experience in  manufacturing, and a minimum three (3) years of experience with ISO9001/AS9100.
* Proficiency required in Microsoft programs.
* ASQ-CQA or RAB Lead Assessor Certification required, or willing to obtain.
* Bias for action, integrity, strong interpersonal skills, solid time management skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and superior communication skills are required competencies.

The following skill sets are preferred by the site:

* 4 year degree in Engineering
* Six Sigma green belt / black belt certification or Lean Manufacturing experience is desired
* APQP, FMEA, and control plan skills very beneficial.
