Improve your technical and analytical knowledge by developing reports, recognizing opportunities, and presenting ideas for new sales. Use your creativity to obtain necessary competitive/marketing data by working with the home office.

The Sales Specialist is responsible for managing the quoting, and acquiring workflow process. In support of the Marketing Reps and Brokers, the incumbent will complete the initial request for proposal plan design, apply appropriate underwriting risk rules, and ensure accuracy of the calculated rates and occupational coding. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate expertise in all aspects of rating, proposal generation and the process steps in acquiring new business.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Partner with Lincoln Marketing Representatives to analyze and evaluate current business and search for new prospects
* Partner with external and internal contacts to obtain competitive marketing data, complete contract and rate comparisons, and negotiate rates, when necessary
* Establish and maintain broker contacts; field questions and concerns from brokers regarding their clients needs
* Utilize internal systems to maintain sales contact and generate quotes for new business
* Obtain an all-encompassing view of Lincoln''s products and the Group Insurance industry
* Develop relationships with internal operations managers, brokers, account executives, and marketing representatives to ensure Lincoln''s products and services are of the highest quality
* Make follow up phone calls on outstanding proposals to determine status and work to close business.
* Network with customers to access new business opportunities and schedule face to face group presentations.
* Generating estimates and writing proposals
* Call on prospective customers through warm leads

Job Requirements

* Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college or university
* Candidates must be creative problem solvers who are able to identify, analyze and resolve client issues within a dynamic fast-paced environment
* Superior communication and relationship building skills
* Proficiency using Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technologies
* Requires independent, self-sufficiency and ability to maintain multiple tasks
* Competitive drive and strong history of accomplishment
* Entrepreneurial spirit and positive attitude

The Schaumberg, IL Sales office is located near expressways, restaurants and shopping.  A few of the amenities include an on-site fitness center and covered parking, which is great to have during the winter months.
