Description
Requirements: M.T., (ASCP), (NCA). Or related specialty certification, preferred.
B.S. in Medical Technology or other science related fields. A minimum of 3-5 years experience and a minimal, demonstrated tech and leadership skill inventory.
Exhibits the ability to work with computer programs and computer controlled equipment.
Exhibits the ability to handle and interpret data, multitask, and maintain confidential material.
Exhibits good laboratory technique and safety practices
Exhibits good communication, technical and organizational skills.
Experience and/or training in multiple laboratory section (skill inventory)
Exhibits good leadership, team building and coaching skills
All CHOP employees who work in a patient building or who provide patient care are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
Job Description: To perform and report various laboratory tests prescribed by physicians. Has advanced experience and or laboratory training that give this candidate the ability (tech skill inventory) to perform this service in multiple sections of the laboratory as assigned. At the direction of the Director or Supervisor, provides oversight of operations training, quality or troubleshooting and reports on these activities.
