LFG is seeking an experienced Enterprise Search Architiect.
The candidate will be responsible for enhancing and supporting the SOLR search platform. This technology is used by Web, Imaging, and Customer Support systems to access consolidated customer and policy information in a timely fashion. The individual in this role will work with IT and business partners to design and implement solutions that require enterprise search technology.
Responsibilities:
* SOLR Administration - including index management, archival, and data migration
* Tuning SOLR Search Servers for performance and throughput
* ETL Design and Development
* Web Service Development
Job Requirements
* College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
* This person should be able to work closely with the business and other IT areas to understand their needs and apply technology solutions.
* Experience in gathering business requirements, creating scope documents, design documents, quality assurance testing, and technical specs is necessary.
* Word, Excel, Visio, and MS Project knowledge is a plus. Prior experience with web based systems is a positive.
* Insurance industry experience is a plus.
* The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* This position also requires a team player that can interact well with business and IT partners and peers on a daily basis.
* 5 years J2EE Development Experience
* 3 years ETL Design and Development Experience
* 2 years JAVA Script Development
* 5 years Relational Database Experience
