Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH), a member of the Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: SHLD) family of companies, is one of California’s largest hardware and garden retail chains with over 85 stores averaging 40,000 square feet.  Since 1931 and with a consistent focus on Convenience, Service and Selection, we have helped generations of customers maintain and repair their homes and gardens with over 45,000 items, easy-to-shop stores and homespun hospitality.  A refreshing alternative to the home improvement big boxes, OSH still serves California with the same simple retail philosophy developed long ago, Take good care of our customers and they will take good care of you.The Manager, Inventory Allocation and Replenishment serves as a business partner to the Merchant and Planning organizations by driving the development and execution of financial strategies for several merchandising departments.  This position is responsible for maximizing revenues and GM while optimizing inventory investment.  The Inventory Allocation and Replenishment Manager provides the highest levels of service and in-stock to the stores, actively contributes to decisions on receipt flow (timing and quantities) and assortment breadth and depth.  This position advises on the timing and depth of markdowns in order to optimize GMROI and sell-through.  The Inventory Allocation and Replenishment Manager is responsible for leadership and continual development of a high-output team of 4-6 Replenishment/Allocation Analysts.   Financial and Inventory Management   Drives inventory management at the Distribution Center and Store levels while attaining high service level and in stock goals   Partners with the Merchant and Planning teams to develop and implement the purchasing strategies to drive sales, gross margin, turn rate improvement and product sell-through while managing inventory and markdowns   Works within the open to buy constraints (owns the checkbook) through ongoing collaboration with the Merchants and Planning teams   Partners with Merchant and Supply Chain organizations optimize order size/frequency, logistics and product flow through the supply chain, into/through Distribution Center and ultimately to Stores.    Collaborates with Merchants and Planning in conducting monthly forecast reviews and seasonal unit/dollar plans; leads purchasing and store distribution discussions   Develops seasonal and tactical receipt plans for Stores and Distribution Center   Understands Item Ranking and Service Level Management as well as tiered assortment strategies   Ensures the automated and ad-hoc Allocation and Replenishment systems are tuned to optimize inventory productivity   Assortment and Ad Planning   Partners with the Merchants and Planners to develop and execute regional product assortments through detailed analysis of sales and demographic data   Coordinates with Merchant and Plan-O-Gram teams to support category updates, supply chain distribution channel changes, presentation stock adjustments, tiered replenishment strategies, seasonal category change outs and assortment regionalization   Collaborates with Merchant, Distribution Center, Supply Chain and Replenishment/Allocation teams to ensure timely product flow to meet Reset and Ad merchandise   Reviews purchase plans and strategies with Replenishment/Allocation Analyst to ensure highest in stock levels and optimal sell-through for items featured in weekly advertisement insets   Leadership   Leads Replenishment/Allocation team in development and execution of replenishment, allocation, in-stock and flow strategies that deliver or exceed sales, margin and inventory goals   Holds team accountable for attaining high Store and Distribution Center in-stock rates of domestic and import product while adhering to open to buy / inventory target constraints    Oversees Purchase Order creation and maintenance by Replenishment/Allocation Analysts   Maintains a productive, supportive and service-oriented relationship with the Stores, Distribution Center, Merchandising, Planning, Marketing and other business partners   Drives daily collaboration between Replenishment, Planning and Merchandising organizations to build relationships and ensure achievement of department financial plans   Conducts frequent store visits with the team to evaluate success of store replenishment strategies and build relationships with District Managers, Store Managers and store associates   Directly responsible for the development, documentation, publication and execution of company business practices / processes designed to manage millions dollars of inventory and tens of thousands of SKUs effectively (from a workflow and financial perspective)   Partner with Merchant and Vendor community to resolve vendor performance issues such as shipping performance and vendor complianceIn addition to an outstanding career potential we offer a competitive compensation and benefit package including health, dental, 401(k) and employee discount.
