Description
Located in Southfield, Michigan, the Accounting Technician is responsible for applying customer payments to trade receivables.
'' Application of customer remittances.
'' Identification of incoming deductions.
'' Creation of dispute tickets and journal vouchers.
'' Identification of process improvement.
Requirements:
EDUCATION:
'' Associates degree or 2 years of accounting experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
'' High volume cash application and data entry experience is preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
'' Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
'' Must possess ability to effectively prioritize work, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced team environment.
'' Strong interpersonal skills to support internal and external customers.
'' Detail and results oriented.
'' Takes initiative to solve problems and to suggest proactive solutions.
'' Must possess good mathematical and organizational skills.
'' Must be able to work overtime as needed.
'' Ability to communicate in the Spanish language, both verbally and in writing, is preferred.
