Description

The Senior Programmer Analyst within our IS Software Development Client/Server Group is responsible for designing and developing on BizTalk Server 2009.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·          Develop programs.  Demonstrate a proficiency in at least one of Healthfirsts programming languages.  Convert designs and specifications into computer programs following programming standards and best practices.  Create test scenarios and run tests to find errors and confirm computer programs meet specifications.  Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise code.

·          Perform analysis and design.  Coordinate meetings and interactions with the business users to define requirements.  Participate in the analysis, definition and documentation of requirements.   Lead the creation and documentation of solution designs that are in-line with the existing Healthfirst technical environment

·          Manage Projects.  Maintain project status and related documentation.  Coordinate project related activities, including planning timelines, scheduling meetings, coordinating resources, and tracking performance.

·          Test and Document.  Perform testing and review of code and related documentation as required.

·          Support production Healthfirst applications. Monitor performance of production applications and provide necessary support.  Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems or questions about programs.  Train any required technical support staff to use, test, and support programs.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

·          Program Deployment.  Create deployment packages and deployment related documentation.  Facilitate the transition of programs from development into production.

·          Research and evaluate software and hardware to enhance the development environment and process.

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree

Work Experience:

3-5 years

Technical Skills:

BizTalk Server (Creating Orchestrations and Maps, Configuring Pipelines and Adapters), Healthcare EDI Transactions (837,270,276), XML

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit & key and frequently required to lift 1-10 lbs.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an indoor environment.

Conditions of Employment:

Employee must pass pre-employment screening which includes a background check and drug testing. Employee must present documentation to verify minimum of high school educational requirement.
