Requirements: License to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania
Graduation from an NLN accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor''s Degree in Nursing.
Graduation from an accredited college with an applicable masters degree (MSN, MBA, MHA).
At least two (2) years prior NICU management or leadership experience required. Demonstrated experience with strategic management and operations, unit and clinical goals/outcomes, and oversight of staff.
At least five (5) years clinical RN experience preferred.
Ability to establish standards of excellence for areas of responsibility.
Ability to promote cooperation between individuals and departments to provide the best systems for care and customer service.
Ability to foster an environment which values diversity, open communication and teamwork.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Job Description: The Nurse Manager for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is responsible for the patient care systems and structures that promote the provision of excellent clinical nursing care; management oversight of all nursing and ancillary personnel; provision of leadership for the daily operations; partnership with physician colleagues in the Division of Neonatology and Department of Surgery to promote excellent patient outcomes; and active participation in the Department of Nursing leadership team.
The Harriet and Ronald Lassin Newborn/Infant Intensive Care Unit is a 95-bed unit, with our recent expansion. With this expansion, the leadership structure for the department will include two Nurse Managers, to cover the 300+ NICU Nursing and Ancillary team. This position will report to the Director of Neonatal Nursing Services and will directly manage a team of clinical leaders focused on achieving unit/departmental goals.
