Position Summary:
The Analyst, Performance Analysis is responsible for tracking performance data from state and national SNG programs and analyzing that performance data against strategic planning goals.  Data pertains to success in achieving goals in state advocacy, outreach, education, campaign efforts and specific programmatic work in communities.  Reviews and evaluates program successes, notes shortfalls, and with the Senior Advisor, Program Analysis and state managers, devises needed course corrections. Provides day-to-day support to state offices, ensuring that state advocacy, outreach, education and campaign efforts successfully meet intended goals.

Responsibilities and Task Statements:
1.Implements performance analysis reviews and evaluations of SNG''s strategic planning and evaluation efforts in advocacy, education, outreach, campaigns and targeted projects.  Works with state offices to define, clarify and monitor success metrics for Association-level dashboard and related sub-dashboard measures.
2.Understands the process of development and monitoring of strategic plans.  Helps state offices establish attainable performance goals with resources available.  Works with state offices, the Senior Advisor, Program Analysis and others to develop and implement multi-year strategic plans and related performance metrics that connect to the Dashboard.
3.Tracks evaluation of performance against AARP''s strategic objectives and measures, and helps to implement needed ?course corrections.?
4.Assists with special analytical and evaluative projects at the state level and ensures appropriate follow-through.  Works collaboratively with the directors of Education and Outreach, Campaigns, and Government Affairs to track trends and keep abreast of changes in political or social landscape that could influence the direction and impact of AARP programs.
5.Assists state program managers on performance monitoring and tracking; arranges for needed training and tools to enable managers and staff to understand strategic goals, how to measure them, and how to achieve them in their particular area of expertise.
6.Works collaboratively with staff at all levels to provide optimal customer service to members and to meet or exceed Dashboard goals.
7.Demonstrates ''One AARP'' behaviors and attributes in all interactions.

Desired Minimum Education and Work Experience:
?Bachelor''s degree (advanced degree preferred) in analytics, statistics, organizational/project or program management, business administration or other field aligned to the tracking of performance and evaluation of program-against-plan.
?5  years of related experience or a combination of education and experience in positions where strategic performance analysis and data evaluation were central to the job.
?Position requires strong interpersonal skills, ability to inform, educate, motivate and work with others at all levels; attention to detail.
?Effective oral and written communications skills; creativity, adaptability and flexibility in dealing with programmatic options.
?Must be a team player.
