Responsibilities/Job Description:
* Assess and develop strategic procurement opportunities, which span or have the potential to span the organization, with the objective of reducing total cost of ownership.
* Work closely with the procurement staff members and other functional departments leading cross functional Strategic Supply teams to analyze and establish strategic agreements to lower total cost of ownership.
* Lead and assist team members with the implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives to improve service levels and decrease costs.
* Serve as a mentor for Sr. Category and Category Analysts as needed.
* Conduct market analysis and research to ensure sound and cost effective supply of goods and services.
* Manages categories and sourcing projects ranging from USD500,000 to USD25,000,000.
Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, Accounting or Engineering with a minimum 8 years of relevant Supply Chain or Contract Management experience
* Masters in Business or a Masters in one of the degrees previously listed, with a minimum 5 years of experience.
Desired Qualifications:
* Professional Certification in either a Supply Chain professional organization at the C.P.M. / CPSM level or Professional Certification in a Contract Management professional organization at the CCCM level.
* MBA or JD
* Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and leadership skills required.
* Customer focused.
* Thinks innovatively and strategically.
* Can develop value propositions and business cases from ambiguity.
* Demonstrated ability to drive change.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills required including presentation skills.

* Advanced computer skills required including MS Office Suite, applicable supply chain system and Internet.
* Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail required.
* Cost modeling experience.
* Business acumen that demonstrates an ability to quickly understand the energy business .
* Superior negotiation skills required.
* Advanced proven working knowledge of legal terminology, contract law, and strategic sourcing processes.
* Manages diverse relationships; builds effective teams.
