Basic Qualifications:
Must have certification from nationally recognized Exercise & Fitness organizations such as ACSM, NSCA, NATA, and AFAA. Must have CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
Core Competencies:
- Bachelor Degree in Health and/or Fitness related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Typically possesses more than three years of experience in fitness orientation, evaluation, and training program design.
- Demonstrated experience in developing fitness center incentive programs.
- Demonstrated experience with health and wellness presentations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in emergency response.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HIPPA regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge anatomy, sports medicine, exercise physiology, guidelines for exercise testing and prescription.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused, to understand and appropriately respond to managers and client's business needs, and interface effectively and/or collaborate with others.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and make sound decisions on routine matters.
- Must demonstrate the ability to take initiative and accountability for the accuracy of information and for achieving results.
- Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.

Comments: Additional testing may be required as part of the selection process for this position. Work schedule will be from 5am-3pm.
Preferences:
Masters degree is preferred.
Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will perform fitness orientation, evaluation, training, program design, scheduling appointments and/or group exercise classes. Typical responsibilities will include: performing routine pre-exercise and fitness testing; developing incentive programs for the fitness center; developing and prescribing individualized fitness/exercise programs in accordance with guidelines and standards; providing assistance and explaining procedures to employees to ensure the proper use of medical/fitness equipment; performing exercise floor duties; performing inspection, calibration, and maintenance of the equipment; developing and implementing health and fitness related programs to promote and increase employees awareness of health and wellness; implementing wellness presentations company wide; performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
