The Business Intelligence (BI) Architect primary responsibilities will be to designing and developing business intelligence solutions.  The Architect serves as Business Intelligence (BI) expert, and develops and manages Business Intelligence (BI) products and solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·          Guide the full lifecycle of BI project efforts.  Develop and document a technology roadmap through collaboration with the Information System Management and business teams.

·          Configure and optimize BI Environment, which includes relational and OLAP layers, and data migration components.  Work in a data warehouse environment, which includes data architecture and data modeling.  Defines semantic layers and metadata repositories to support reporting and administration.  Defines designs and builds databases, using dimensional modeling methodology. Responsible for developing data warehouse hardware and software platforms and integrating systems.

·          Gather and analyze business requirements to identify and understand source data systems.  Perform data analysis and translate business needs into long-term information architecture solutions.  Conduct data quality analysis to purge systems of old, unused, or duplicate data.

·          Collaborate with application developers, business owners, and operation engineers to ensure the creation of production Business Intelligence designs and implementations.

·          Troubleshoot BI Environment problems and tune for performance.  Diagnose and resolve application bottlenecks and performance issues.  Define and enforce coding standards, design styles and best practices.  Create DW schema design and ensure optimum database performance.  Identify and streamline routine processes in a fast-paced environment.

·          Develops and manages BI training, documentation, policies and procedures, and help desk support.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

·          Leads and develops technical standards and best practices for the Business Intelligence Environment.

·          Leads and conducts unit testing of BI solutions.

·          Mentor technical team leads in BI-related architectural issues and best practices.

·          Research and evaluate software and hardware literature, trends and case studies to enhance the development environment and processes.

Work Experience/Qualifications:

The employee is required to have 5 - 8 years of relevant experience.

Education Requirements:

The employee is required to possess a Bachelor''s Degree.

Technical Skills:

The employee is required to possess advanced level skills in all of the following:

·          BI Reporting Tools

·          SQL

·          SSIS, SSAS, SSRS

·          VB.Net / C#.Net Languages

·          OLAP Tools

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and key, and occasionally required to climb, reach, bend, walk, stand, or travel.  The employee may also be required to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 1 - 20lbs.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an indoor environment.

Conditions of Employment: Employee must pass pre-employment screening which includes a background check and drug testing. Employee must present documentation to verify minimum of high school educational requirement.
