Description

We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to be part of a rotational program supporting the Material Resource Division (MRD). The rotation will include 18 months in each of the following MRD locations (in no particular order): Cordova, IL, Cottage Grove, MN and Decatur, AL. The Materials Resource Division is 3M''s internal resource for global manufacturing of specialty materials and also has international sites in both Antwerp, Belgium and Jinshan, China.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

* Scheduling procurement and manufacturing for a specified group of products.
* Reviewing material flow parameters such as order quantity, lot size, make cycle frequency, replenishment interval, and recommend appropriate levels to support the business/customer requirements.
* Managing raw material and semi-finished inventory buffer quantities.
* Monitoring and reporting capacity requirements, make to order and stock service levels.
* Continuously working to improve the planning and scheduling process.
* Identifying ways to improve customer service, inventory investment, and supply chain efficiency to achieve measurable results.
* Leading and/or participating in Lean Six Sigma projects.

Qualified candidates will be interested in fostering and cultivating an extensive network of support (laboratory, quality, financial, manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing) to facilitate completion of assignments. Provide appropriate and timely documentation of work. The ideal candidate will have very good skills in multi tasking as well as being very diligent.  This person will be a key member in keeping the flow of material and work in the warehouse on a daily basis.  Ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing/receiving/shipping of chemicals.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* Already possess or in the last year of completing a Bachelor''s degree
* 3.0 GPA (cumulative) on a 4.0 scale

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related discipline
* Completed internship/co-op or Technical Aide position with 3M
* Completed internship/co-op with another chemical manufacturing company
* Experience or training in lean manufacturing and six sigma improvement processes
* Understanding of statistical methods of analysis
* Familiarity and ability to use Microsoft basic computer tools to process and analyze data
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Have problem-solving experience and skills
* Good people skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Excellent organization skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments
* Good work habits - timely, thorough, and dependable
* Flexible to provide support for round-the-clock manufacturing operations as needed
* Core values in safe, health-conscious, environmentally-responsible, and regulatory compliant manufacturing
