3M Brookings is seeking to hire Production Workers for our manufacturing facility. The Brookings, SD plant is the flag ship facility of the Skin and Wound Division at 3M. We are proud manufacturers of medical products for the past 40 years.
The responsibilities of our production workers include the following:
The Production workers will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:
* Packs finished or semi-finished products.
* Performs required quality testing.
* Uses on-line reporting to document production and usage.
* Production workers are expected to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
** Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M testing as a part of the selection process.
This position requires working:
* Rotating shifts
* Overtime
This position may require working:
* Weekends
* Holidays
You are applying for a Packer position at 3M Brookings. Qualified applications will be considered when Packer openings occur at 3M Brookings for up to one year of the posting of this requisition.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
Qualifications
Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
* High school diploma/GED
* 1 year of combined experience working in manufacturing, military, construction, and/or welding.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Possess an Associates degree or higher in a technical discipline
* Experience as a Production Lead or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment
* Experience with lean manufacturing in a production environment
* Experience working within a production environment
