The position will be responsible for the following:

Preparing periodic reports for senior management, including:

*     Funded Status Reports for Global Defined Benefit Plans (Monthly)
*     Global Benefits Costs - Actual & Budget (Annual)
*     U.S. Healthcare Costs - Breakdown and Trends (Semi-Annual)

Assist in administering the U.S. DB Pension Plans & Master Trust

*      Maintaining the following reports  (Contribution & Distribution Schedule, Roll-forward of Assets,  Cash Flow & Performance Attribution)
*      Compliance with Regulatory Funding
*      Annual plan audits

Support the Joint Investment Committee for U.S. DC Retirement Plans.  This includes preparing meeting materials, working with the Committee''s investment consultants, and implementing the Committee''s decisions

Develop and prepare additional reports on News Corp''s employee benefits plans, as needed.  Reports may encompass such aspects as plan design, accounting expense, administrative costs, funding, and investments.

Assist with implementing strategic initiatives, including:

*     Lump Sum Project - Phase 3
*     Exploring other DB Risk Reduction Initiatives (e.g., annuity purchases for retirees)
*     Implementation of changes to healthcare plans due to Healthcare Reform Legislation
*     Assessment and analysis of Multi-Employer Plans
*     Evaluation of current Trustee (JP Morgan)

Work with other internal departments on routine benefit-related initiatives (e.g., providing required benefits information for quarterly financial statements, audit support)

Position Requirements

*
Three to five years of experience, with a background in employee benefits and/or benefits accounting/finance.

* Strong financial and analytical skills
* Solid working knowledge of excel and powerpoint software
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong time management and organization skills; able to multi-task'' and adapt easily to changing priorities
