Description

We are recruiting for a part-time Floater Job Coach who will be based in our Orange County area but have the flexibility to go to other programs in the region. Duties include supporting individuals with disabilities at the worksite and training and assisting individuals in the development of skills and knowledge necessary to meet the employer’s requirements and perform the duties of the job. Work schedule is Monday through Friday. Rate of pay is $11.00 per hour. Benefits include paid training, educational reimbursement, mileage reimbursement, and paid holidays off.  EOE



Responsibilities:

Provide job coach support to individuals with disabilities who are working. Assist in the development of learning, living and social skills consistent with their goals and objectives. Assist individuals in developing natural supports in and out of the workplace. Gradually decrease direct assistance so individuals can work independently. Assist in assessments, planning and evaluation processes. Assist in the development of job sites, coordinating public relations, and community interaction. Visit volunteer job sites and conduct group observations. Maintain all assigned documentation and data regarding participants, including case notes and files, in a timely manner.

 


Minimum Qualifications:

1.      Minimum one year of experience working in same/related field required.

2.      Ability to communicate effectively, orally and written, with all levels of staff, the general public and program individuals.

3.      Ability to walk, stand, stoop and push a wheelchair and be out in a variety of weather. Ability to lift 70 lbs. repetitively. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

4.      Reliability and dependability, ability to follow directions and work independently.

5.      Must be flexible, creative, and willing to accept challenges.

6.      Ability to travel locally with reliable vehicle. Requires valid CDL, good driving record, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.

7.      Ability to pass a post-offer general physical and to obtain fingerprint clearance.
