Uses specialized knowledge of product area(s) to develop and implement a marketing strategy. Develops and oversees market research and marketing development initiatives. Maintains a competitive position and contributes to profitability by formulating and executing marketing programs. Sets objectives for, designs, and executes outbound messaging and marketing campaigns. Works closely with product management and development to establish the brand identity, differentiate the brand from competitors, and understand product features, strengths and weaknesses. Identifies, plans, and executes marketing event participation (tradeshows, industry association meetings, etc.). Creates and assists in the creation of advertising and promotion concepts for new product literature and/or specialty items. Creates reports and maintains scorecard of research and analysis for sales/marketing positioning. Develops and completes win/loss program. Researches competitive market and provides feedback to marketing team, executives, sales, and product teams. Interacts with sales teams to understand customer impressions of marketing materials.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. If no degree, equivalent experience (1 year of experience = 1 year of college) will be considered.
Senior-level position acts as technical or team leader, handles complex problems regularly, has wide latitude for independent judgment, and acts as consultant to middle management. Minimum seven (7) years of marketing analysis experience, including at least three (3) years of experience with product positioning and promotion. Experience marketing to Human Resources and/or Legal Professionals preferred. Excellent knowledge of marketing software, consulting services, and procedures. Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills. Effective communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good leadership skills.
