The Coca-Cola Companys Venturing and Emerging Brands unit was created in 2007
to identify and develop the next set of billion dollar brands via importation (bringing products that work globally), incubating internal innovation (launching new brands and categories) and sourcing external growth through acquisition, entrepreneurial partnering and equity investment.
Overview of the portfolio of brands
Illy issimo- Coca-Cola and illy Spa International created a global Joint Venture to create illy issimo, a premium ready to drink coffee. The brand launched in New York in 2009 with independent distributor, Big Geyser. www.illyissimo.com
Sokenbicha- Sokenbicha is one of 15 billion dollar brands for Coca-Cola globally. It is an authentically brewed, zero calorie and unsweetened line of green, oolong and barley teas blended with the goodness of natural botanicals. It arrived on shelves at Whole Foods in October 2010 and launched with independent distributor, Big Geyser, in New York in April 2010. www.sokenbicha.com
Cascal- Cascal is an all natural, sophisticated soda that goes through a double fermentation process where no sugar is added. The result is an effervescent soda that is reminiscent of wine. The ideal Team Manager is someone who is proactive and has a burning desire to create something very special one case at a time. We are seeking someone who is ambitious, entrepreneurial, highly-organized, and has a deep understanding of the New York market from a consumer, customer and distribution lens.
The day to day face of Venturing & Emerging brands in New York with our distributor, both with the corporate sales team and up and down the street independent operators and route sales people.
Responsible for exceeding annual NY volume targets and managing trade budgets for illy issimo and Sokenbicha
Responsible for key customer relationships with the ultimate goal of increasing points of availability, merchandising and ultimately, volume per outlet
Lead, train and motivate team of 2 Area Sales Managers to open for influencer accounts for illy issimo and Sokenbicha.
? Lead, train and motivate 3 Account Specialists to grow their volume for all VEB brands in the natural and gourmet channels.
? Create and Analyze volume per outlet for opportunities and learnings
? Understands distributor dynamics and how to sell a premium beverage in the NY market (up and down the street and corporate)
? Outgoing, ambitious & committed to team success
? Extremely organized & detail-oriented
? Customer focused
? Bachelors degree required
? 5 years of food or beverage industry experience, preferably in NY
working with a distributor
? People Management experience preferred
? Very minimal travel outside of market- must have a license for travel within NY geography
