Description
Responsibilities
* Performs standard Tier I procedures including wafer measurement.
* Performs preventative maintenance and wet cleans independently. Assists senior engineers with corrective maintenance as needed.
* Disassembles, cleans and rebuilds kits as part of kit management quality.
* Learns and applies diagnostic techniques and use of documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers.
* Able to diagnose and resolve basic technical problems.
* Strives to perform BKM''s. Uses knowledge management systems. Follows all IP guidelines.
* Has the ability to represent Applied Materials to the customer. Uses good customer service skills at all times while maintaining a professional demeanor. Displays respect for the customer by maintaining a neat and orderly work area. Demonstrates a positive attitude in less than optimal customer situations.
* Complies with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrates safety as a value.
* May be exposed to cramped work space, mechanical, electrical, and/or chemical hazards.
* Requires attentiveness to safety precautions at all times.
* Occasionally required to work rapidly for prolonged periods of time; will routinely bend, stoop, reach, and walk.
* Will be required to work overtime and/or travel on short notice, including unscheduled call-in from home and work other shifts as required.

* Demonstrated capabilities to provide technical support
* Demonstrated capability to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
* Ability to routinely lift, pull, or push objects of up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation
* Ability to effectively use hand tools, meters, scopes, and other pertinent specialized equipment
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* ASEET and 1-2 years related experience, or equivalent
* BSEET and 0-1 year related experience, or equivalent.
* Requires a driver''s license and may require a current passport.
* Flexibility to travel and/or work on shifts/overtime/stand-by/on-call/holidays when required
INCUMBENTS ARE PREFERRED WHO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
* Previous electronic/electromechanical system troubleshooting experience.
* Well developed technical communication skills.
* Good customer service skills.
