Incorporated as a 501C3 not-for-profit organization, National Industries for the Blind (NIB) enhances the opportunities for economic and personal independence of persons who are blind, primarily through creating, sustaining and improving employment. NIB operates under the Javits-Wagner-O''Day (JWOD) Act, a mandatory federal purchasing program, enabling people who are blind to work and provide products and services to federal and commercial customers.

By harnessing the demand and purchasing power of the federal government, NIB and its associated agencies supply federal markets with a selection of more than 3,000 quality products and services under the trade name SKILCRAFT® manufactured and provided by people who are blind at more than 80 associated agencies, across the nation.

Currently, NIB is in search of a Manager, Information Systems and Services who is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and operations of organizational and departmental information systems and services. This position will manage organizational Accessibility Technology initiatives, products and services.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
B.S. in Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent relevant experience
PMP Certification (desired)

TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Project Management methodologies (required)
Systems Development Life Cycle (required)
Database design and development
Oracle applications and technology
Help Desk systems and services
Web development standards, tools and techniques
Content Management Systems
Accessibility technologies
HTML/XML, Web Services, MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, MS SharePoint, Remedy, Javascript, .Net, SQL Server, Oracle, Visual Studio
Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum 3 years IT project management
Minimum 3 years hands-on systems design and development
Minimum 3 years business process analysis
Managing professional staff

TRAVEL REQUIRED:
Some travel required

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing systems management and support that includes:
o Requirements definition and analysis
o Logical and physical systems design
o Software development and maintenance
o Systems testing and quality control
o Training and production support
o Systems implementation and operations
o Software patch, update and upgrade application
o Systems integration
Providing service management and support that includes:
o Help desk operations and customer service
o Problem troubleshooting and resolution
o Technology compliance
o Accessibility technology
o Security and compliance
o License and product management,
o Maintaining support knowledge base
o Interfacing with affiliated organizations
o Vendor/consultant management
Project Management
o Establish milestones, control scope and manage expectations
o Perform budget and resource administration
o Provide leadership to IT, business staff and consultants
o Manage productivity and maintain progress towards deadlines
o Provide project reporting and communications
