For more information, visit Sears Holdings' Web site at http://www.searsholdings.com. br/ We are looking for a senior level Java Front-End Developer to be a critical member of the ServiceLive development team developing interfaces for the various web applications in the ServiceLive product suite. In addition to developing new interfaces, this role involves improving existing web applications by increasing performance, reducing page latency, improving code structure, and enhancing usability. You will be part of a highly motivated team that is creating a platform that connects people who need services (paint your house, walk your dog, etc.) with providers who perform those services. The ideal candidate should have a positive can-do attitude, is not always satisfied with the status-quo, and has the drive and the ability to take themselves, the team, and the product to the corresponding next levels of quality and success on a relentless basis. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile development environment with aggressive deadlines. br/    Provide direction, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced team members. br/    Architect, design, and implement significant application features, as well as new applications in the ServiceLive product line. br/    Work closely with back-end developers to find ways to push the limits of existing Web technology to create the best possible user experience, ensuring that the visual structure of the UI remains consistent across multiple components and browsers. br/    Evaluate systems specifications and web application requirements to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solution. br/    Translate business requirements into technical designs and development estimates. br/    Manage the overall visual design for the application; create design concepts, rapid wireframes, screen mock-ups and prototypes of interfaces to be used as a blueprint for content and technical development. br/    Participate in defining and documenting style guidelines, design principles and UI concepts. br/    Build and maintain software according to established standards. br/    Write clear and concise technical documentation. br/    Review business requirements and provide feedback regarding ambiguities to the BA team. br/     br/ Competencies: br/    7+ years of experience in web applications development including, but not limited to JavaScript, JSP, Struts, HTML, CSS, XML, SOAP/WSDL, XUL, XAML. br/    Knowledge of usability and coding practices for accessibility. br/    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. br/    Ability to work well with both business and technical partners. br/    Experience with Agile development environments and iterative development. br/    Demonstrated experience troubleshooting browser quirks, JavaScript, and CSS problems. br/    Experience with mobile web development is highly desirable. br/    Creative approach to problem solving, innovation and issue resolution. br/    Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate actively and proactively with others in a cross-functional team. br/    Ability to communicate effectively in writing, and verbally. br/    Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability and intellectual curiosity. br/    Able to set and meet specific external and internal deadlines, and follow through with quality work products. br/ br br A comprehensive and competitive benefit program is designed to meet the needs of our associates and their families.
