The Position:
Abilicorp is currently recruiting candidates for the position of SQA Performance Engineer Data Analyst. This position participates in the Quality Assurance Lifecycle with 100% focus on load and performance testing activities surrounding CICCT mid-tier applications, a set of business services built on varying technologies including dot Net, Java / J2EE, Tomcat, and Websphere. The qualified candidate participates in the project life-cycle from analysis to production implementation with emphasis on production data analysis to define the appropriate customer and account profiles required in order to conduct comprehensive performance load and stress testing and auditable documentation of results.
Responsibilities:
Support test planning and execution based on analysis of requirements and design documents
Able to profile customer and account data required and volumes required to conduct production-like performance tests
Data mining in appropriate environment to extract large volumes of data required to complete load tests
Run data conditioning routine to ensure protection of production customer data
Write/maintain test case scripts and execute; document detailed results and summary report
Execute performance and infrastructure testing to ensure all development deliverables are production ready
Multi-task between current release, install activities, and prioritize tasks for next release
Coordinate with project team to collect and define non functional requirements for testing
Monitor and resolve testing configuration and connection issues
Act as lead tester on projects working self directed and independently
Manage testing tasks concurrently on multiple projects
Coordinate the overall execution of the test plan with group and business representatives
Research production issues
Act as technical resource to other testers
Additional responsibilities as directed by either the QA Lead or Manager
Author and maintain Load Runner test scripts
Write SQL scripts to add bulk customer or transaction account records to Oracle tables
Monitor application production metrics using a wide variety of tools and interfaces
Requirements:
5-7 years of performance testing experience with performance testing being the focus of the prior position
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/work experience.
Previous knowledge of Banking applications eg. Hogan a plus
At least 5 years experience in HP Load Runner / Performance Center
Experience in creating test plans, cases, and scripts
Excellent oral / written communication with ability to effectively work with onsite and remote teams.
Strong independent worker and an excellent team player.
Demonstrated problem analysis and problem solving skills in a technical environment.
Strong performance metrics extraction, parsing and correlation skills using Load Runner Analysis and Excel
Knowledge of PC application software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Visio, etc.
Ability to interface with all levels and across organizational lines.
Demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines.
UNIX and Windows IIS server technical proficiency or equivalency Preferred
Experience with ETL, MQ and application batch performance testing a plus
Experience in writing shell or perl scripts and executing to get log data
Working knowledge of network protocols being able to communicate effectively with network technicians
Experience with ClearQuest
Knowledge of financial services industry
