Description

This position operates & maintains transmission lines, substation facilities, and overhead/underground collection systems associated with Wind/Thermal/Hydro & Solar sites throughout NextEra''s Territory.

Responsibilities:

* Attend regular safety meetings and follow appropriate company safe work practices and policies.
* Perform &/or Lead cross-functional efforts to complete, routine maintenance & operational testing on common T&S systems and equipment.
* Perform &/or Lead cross-functional efforts to complete trouble-shooting of unplanned outages, and restoration efforts.
* Prepare Event Root-cause analysis utilizing Quality Tools.
* Support the analysis of protective relay events including relay interrogation.
* Review commissioning records & witness operational checks at new sites.
* Ensure Transmission & Substation assets are operated & maintained in compliance with all local, state, federal and environmental regulations.
* Operate, maintain, and manage HV utility truck and tool inventory.

Qualifications

* High School diploma or GED required.  Associate''s degree in related field preferred.
* Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 100 feet from the ground surface.
* 3 to 5 years, Substation, Protection & Control, Transmission or Collection system experience required.
* Substation Switching qualified.
* CDL Preferred.
* Strong written and oral communications skills.
