GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Insurance Solutions Distribution (ISD) Internal Wholesaler will be responsible for driving sales by creating and strengthening life sales activity through proactive calls to external customer, illustration support, case design and competitive positioning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage territory with external partner to meet or exceed sales goals

Conduct consultative, relationship-building sales calls via the telephone with financial advisors and other licensed professionals

Respond to technical product and competitive positioning questions as appropriate.

Offer sales ideas and other forms of marketing support to external wholesaler and clients

Handle daily territory management tasks to ensure maximum business efficiency

Make daily proactive outbound sales calls regarding Prospecting/Profiling, follow-up, thank you calls and time sensitive campaigns

Deliver presentations to clients individually or in groups via LiveMeeting and web conferences

Maintain a territory focus report to project monthly sales

Generate hypothetical illustrations

Identify sales opportunities and advisor needs, cross-sell ideas and introduce

Maintain integrity of SalesForce.com system

Act as a liaison for escalated pre-sale issues w/our manufacturing partners

Meet and exceed minimum activity requirements

Develop and maintain productive relationships with enterprise partners by working cooperatively with Underwriting, New Business, Licensing and Customer Service

Provide policy review support

Provide case design support

ADDITIONAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as liaison for post sale escalated issues

Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines.  Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.

Remains current in profession and industry trends.

Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by:

Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

BA/BS degree or 2 years of work experience in a corporate environment

FINRA Series 6, 63, State Life, Health and Long Term Care Insurance Licenses or successfully obtain within 90 days of hire

Industry designations (CLU, ChFC, CFP) preferred

Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions.

Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
