Description
Coordinate the accurate and timely preparation of Federal, state and local tax returns and calculate tax liabilities and payments, including allocations among Enterprise's subsidiaries. Research tax issues through analysis of tax law, regulations and court decisions. Research financial and regulatory requirements for taxes. Record financial and regulatory impacts of tax liabilities. Proactively pursue opportunities for tax savings ideas and initiatives. Respond to requests and substantiate PSEG's position during tax audits by taxing authorities and regulators. Research tax effects of contracts, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, FASB standards, legislation and regulations. Modify tax systems, programs and reports to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. Required: -Accounting degree. (PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent) -3-5 years tax accounting experience. -Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including tax computations.
