Description
Part Time Maintenance Technician Property maintenance is essential to every apartment community, and it is the maintenance team that carries out this vital role. Charged with preparing vacant apartments for new residents and performing routine and emergency maintenance of all kinds, Maintenance Technicians must have a working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, repair and service; the ability to troubleshoot problems and take appropriate action; superior customer service skills; and a great attention to detail. One or more years of hands-on general maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, and appliances required; experience in painting a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent preferred; trade school and/or military training or industry designation (CAMT or CAMT II) a plus. Valid drivers license, some weekend availability, and rotating on-call responsibility for after hours emergencies required. This is a part time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week. Walden Park Apartments in Cambridge is only minutes from the Red Line T Station and Commuter Rail at Porter Square. Harvard and Kendall Square are also nearby and Boston is just a quick ride away.
