Standard & Poor''s Ratings Services is currently seeking a Senior Director, Segment Program Office. This position is responsible for the planning, management, development, implementation and deployment of the business and technology initiatives of Standard & Poor''s.  This position will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners and cross-functional IT teams.  Excellent business, communication, influencing and negotiating skills are required. This is considered a key management position within the technology group and is expected to work on complex and challenging programs. This position will be fluent in DMAIC, PMI, Agile, Lean approaches.  This position will be reporting to the Vice President of Corporate and Government Information Technology group and will be responsible for the Project Management process of strategic business application platforms supporting the Ratings Services business.

Job Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with C&G business partners to address business priorities through current initiatives and supporting technology roadmaps.
* Collaborate with business partners to govern the current portfolio of work.
* Develop Strategic Roadmaps that support emerging technology businesses
* Build and manage relationships with project stakeholders.
* Team leaders who provides creative problem solving from a business perspective
* Provides proactive risk management and conflict resolution
* Actively manages program implementation and deployment in accordance with S&P Engineering process
* Manage a portfolio of both various projects
* Manage risk through proactive oversight and governance
* Sets direction, develops and monitors individual objectives, and leads the team.  Develops and maintains quality staff by hiring skilled personnel: developing succession plans: provides training opportunities, evaluating and managing performance, delegating responsibility and training and mentoring junior staff, and administering corporate policies. Develops monitors and controls the unit''s budget and is responsible for implementing efficiencies and best practices for the team.

Qualifications

* Bachelor''s degree or equivalent work experience or certification
* PMP certification a plus
* 10+ years of related experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, using all aspects of PM
* Expert knowledge of project management, software engineering, vendor management and business process management methodologies
* Extensive experience in managing vendor relationships/SLAs
* Demonstrates a strong understanding of the business, including the customer''s business processes and automation needs - global perspective
* Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate IT vision and strategy
* Demonstrates skill in delivering executive management level presentations
* Superior consulting, closure, agreement solidification skills
