Description
Overview:
With general supervision, act as team lead ensuring that work is performed consistently with policies and procedures. Provides guidance, direction, and coaching to team members. Evaluates teams results.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assists with development an operating plan and performance goals for the team.
*
Schedules work for optimum efficiency and productivity. Schedules and approves vacation and overtime.
*
Evaluates teams results against department objectives. Identifies problem areas or shortfalls and takes action as needed to improve results.
*
Communicates changes in team projects or activities and ensures that employees are appropriately trained with processes implemented for ongoing verification of compliance.
*
Recommends pay adjustments and promotions. Works with employees on performance improvement plans and personnel issues.
*
Recommends departmental resourcing in terms of staffing.
*
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements
*
Bachelors degree or equivalent required preferably in the insurance industry
*
Expert understanding of Workers Compensation claim billing process knowledge required.
*
Strong verbal and written communication skills
*
Demonstrated leadership potential in previous jobs
*
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
*
3 5 years Bill Review experience
Attendance Requirements
Due to the nature of the needs in the office, must be able to work at least 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and be available should a situation arise requiring extended hours.
