Overview:

Multiple positions available

Under supervision and following standard procedures shall perform assigned tasks to both quantity and quality standards in a fast paced production environment. Incumbents perform routine but varied clerical duties from entry level through moderate scope and complexity.  Primary duties include document preparation, indexing, KFI (key from image) of documents and assigning documents to the correct claim files.  Additional duties may include scanning of documents ,routine maintenance of scanners, record management, filing, mail, moderate typing and 10-key of data.

Responsibilities:

Incumbent will perform document preparation, indexing, data entry via KFI of medical bills and documents, and assign documents to the correct claim files through research using available tools and resources.

Identify over 1,400 Claims document types and forms within all jurisdictions to effectively sort, prepare, validate and batch the documents.

Must be familiar with all 150 Claims Taxonomy Classifications in order to assure documents are being classified to the correct taxonomy.

Operate multiple document scanners simultaneously at a pace to meet production standards.

*
Recognize and report any problems including system down time to the supervisor in a timely manner.

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the scanners.

*
Destroy paper documents once scanned according to company policies and procedures.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Participate in ongoing training in a dynamic environment.

Work productively and harmoniously with others on a consistent basis.

Must be able to lift 10 pounds.

Qualifications:

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements

*
High School Diploma or equivalent.

*
Type 30 wpm required.

*
KFI 6,000 keystrokes per hour.

*
Knowledge of Windows operating system and Excel

*
Scanner, fax, and other standard office equipment experience preferred.

*
Good communication skills.

Attendance Requirements

Due to the nature of the needs in the office, regular and reliable attendance is required.  Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.  However, due to the nature of the business cycles, mandatory overtime is often required.
