Description
The desired candidate for this position would assume leadership of Accounting activites for OptumInsight Payer Solutions as the Controller.
*
Responsible for maintaining a system of internal accounting controls
*
Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of accurate and timely financial statements and reports, for GAAP and internal purposes.
*
Lead and implement accounting organizational alignment consistent with CFO management of business Accounting Policy
*
Ensure consistent application of accounting policy across OptumInsight Payer Solutions
*
Development, documentation and enforcement of accounting policies
*
Provide comprehensive, balanced advice on financial and accounting policies Financial Statement Audit Readiness
*
Oversees the support of all audit activity as it relates to Payer Solutions business or its operations
*
Make recommendation for improvement and ensures Sarbanes Oxley compliance
*
Coordinate controls and risk management and compliance functions
Qualifications
*
Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related degree required
*
CPA highly desired
*
10+ years of broad experience in accounting, accounting related finance activities
*
Practical leadership and managerial experience
*
Excellent knowledge of GAAP, standards, practices
*
Extensive experience with financial systems, statements, reports
*
Excellent oral and written communication
*
Highly collaborative team leader/player
*
Comfortable in a highly matrixed organization
*
Creative problem solver
*
Ability to design and successfully implement change initiatives
