Panasonic  Systems Network Company (PSNA) empowers people whose jobs depend on reliable network technology.  We seek a product marketing specialist for the development and management of marketing and promotional programs for the following business to business products and services: business telephones, video conferencing, document management and imaging products (scanners, Panaboards, business fax, and related products).  The candidate is responsible to develop, manage and coordinate all product marketing activities for the B2B business.  Proactively collects relevant market data, and is able to analyze in order to develop new product strategies.

Specific responsibilities include:

1. Support Development and Execution of annual strategic marketing plans (40%) that:

a. Identify and measure successful strategies to pull product through the channel and into the marketplace using conventional and unconventional marketing activities in conjunction with standard promotional activities spearheaded by Sales and Merchandising teams.

b. Identify product/product category competitive marketing position utilizing information provided from Product Management Category manager (major competitors, share, pricing, features, etc.)

c. Develop and manage new product marketing efforts within annual marketing plan.  Work with Product Management Category Manager, Sales, Marketing, and PNA Shared Services members.

d. Address specialized marketing needs of the SMB market segment, and coordinate with other teams to supply product expertise to support vertical market needs such as Hospitality, Manufacturing, Medical, etc.

e. Increase brand awareness of company in B2B space in general, as well as in specific category, through advertising, PR, web, trade shows, and other marketing activities.

f.  Develop lead generation plans and tactics to deliver sales opportunities to Sales organization.

2. Manage  marketing budget (15%) including  RFA''s and invoices associated with marketing materials and events in accordance with PNA standards.  Maintain all documents in files and log all marketing expenses (Excel file) for comparison with financial reports.  Measure ongoing expenditures to annual marketing budget. Provide necessary/required reporting in conjunction with Finance for regular reporting to VP of Marketing.

3.  Develop go-to-market internal and external collateral (15%) incl. email blasts, bulletins, sales support kits and videos, sales promotion announcements, etc.  Leverage HQ materials for efficient use of resources, work with outside vendors.

4.  Determine all necessary, applicable and relevant content for public website (5%) (www.panasonic.com) and channel portals. Work with PNA Web team, shared services, other PSNA Marketing team members, and outside vendors.

5. Collect and maintain monthly economic, industry and competitor data (5%).  Present data in monthly, quarterly and annual reports.  Highlight trends, identify opportunities and suggest countermeasures.

6.  Support events execution (10%) with strategies, messaging and collateral for events ranging from large scale industry events to small webinars. Work with Marketing Events Manager to ensure successful implementation.

7.  Measure and analyze all channel marketing activities (10%) including but not limited to: advertising, sales promotion (with Product Management), e-blasts, website hits, etc. to ensure year-over-year improvement.

Qualifications

MANAGEMENT:

* Manage and maintain marketing calendar that includes all marketing materials and events.    Communicate calendar with the Sales Team and Shared Service Team.
* Present marketing projects to Shared Service Team members in a clear concise manner that motivates them to overachieve for the Department''s benefit.

PROBLEM-SOLVING:

* Highly organized people-person who is able to see urgency in business issues and prioritize solutions for them.   Particularly adept at providing quick and accurate product data and specifications to others (in shared services, for example) to assist in the completion of projects on time and under budget.
* Demonstrates ability to work with sales staff to seek out and create promotion opportunities consistent with new product launches, competitor countermeasures and industry shifts.

KNOW HOW:

* Bachelor''s Degree (preferably with a major in Marketing or Business).
* 4-6 years work experience.
* Knowledge of most aspects of modern market and promotional concepts with experience in some.
* Ability to learn our products and distribution strategies, as well as the business reasons underlying those strategies.
* Practical understanding of the processes and procedures required to execute a promotional activity.  Examples are: Distributor, Dealer & In-store merchandising, product brochures, educational materials, web site design, and database development for dealer locators.
* Experience in marketing and graphic design.  Ability to learn retail and distributor product and sales channels and utilize skills to design and create marketing materials beyond industry standards.
* Excellent skills with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and  Lotus Notes

COMMUNICATIONS:

* Able to prepare persuasive presentations for use by other members of the Department that will allow them to articulate a common message to both internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels: to senior management or to distributors of our products.
* Write clear and logical documents in standard American English at levels appropriate for multiple different audiences and stakeholders.  Additionally, is able to edit the work of others for accuracy, logic, and clarity.
