Description
HP is seeking a Project Manager for a position available in Clarsburg, WV.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the account operations of a large application development project and on-going operational support after deployment. The PM will be responsible for all contracted project activities and resources; managing technical, cost, and schedule performance. The PM will oversee the application implementation of and adherence to the Contractor Quality Assurance (QA) Plan. The PM will interface with the client attending governance, technical reviews, and other project coordination meetings to plan, communicate, and collaborate the execution of the application development. The PM will have managers to support the application development activities and the resources will be a matrix of HP personnel and subcontractors.
Background:
The application development project is a redesign of a government eligibility verification application that has over 80 data interfaces. The redesign will provide improved and automated features and functionality for application users, scale to address the increasing transaction volumes, and also include enhancements to remain compliant with current and future Legislative and Departmental mandates. To minimize risks associated with custom built components, there is a strong preference for solutions that exhibit an extensive use of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components and minimal software development. The new application is anticipated to be largely a web-based, COTS solution that takes into account technology enablers to include blade servers and server virtualization technology, while operating in a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) based environment.
Qualifications
o Experienced application development program management
o Experience leading a team of 10 or more
o At least 5 years as a program/project manager
o Experience with FBI preferred but not required
o PMP certified a plus
o US Citizen and willing to submit a form detailing the last 10 years of history for a security clearance
o Existing FBI clearances are preferred but not required
o Willing to commute to Clarksburg, WV (75 min south of Pittsburg)
