Description
This is a replacement position within HPFS department. A credit analyst is responsible for detailed financial analysis in order to determine credit availability for the customer and to validate and to mitigate the risk by recommending relevant contract structure.
Job Description
1. Complete Credit Underwriting
* Differentiate market requirements
* Conduct productive lessee management discussions in order to gain greater
* Insight regarding the prospective lessee''s financial condition
* Structure transactions which best mitigate corporate risk
* Effectively meet service level arrangements for credit decisions
2. Coordinate & compile information needed to complete deals according to deal
complexity.
3. Present deals to Credit Manager as needed.
4. Assess and manage credit exposure with the customer and all related and affiliated companies.
5. Assess and manage risks associated with procuring equipment & services from 3rd
party suppliers
6. Develop and maintain favorable, respectful & productive partnerships with the
sales force (Financial Account Managers) and sales managers
7. Partners with the Recovery Specialist to support credit review and/or analysis as
needed in the event of a default, bankruptcy or insolvency.
8. Link to collections management to ensure that the customer profile is updated to
reflect delinquent behavior.

Requirements
* Financial knowledge
* Ability to analyze and interpret all forms of financial reporting including audited financial statements, 10Ks, B/S and P+L
* Credit underwriting experience
* Experience in using credit rating, research, tools, websites like Moody, Fitch
* Core leasing business knowledge
* General legal knowledge as it relates to contracts and contract terminology and the impact on the economics of the opportunity,
* US GAP knowledge
* Strong English
* Ability to understand and adopt HPFS credit and pricing policies and procedures,
Knowledge and Skills
* Superior ability to provide finance consultation to senior managers within a broad scope
* Superior understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
* Superior project management and prioritization skills.
* Excellent ability to structure decisions within boundaries of corporate credit criteria.

* Excellent communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences.

Education and Experience Required
* First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
* Typically 4 + years of experience in a finance function or exhibiting an exceptionally strong background in some other relevant and applicable area of business.
